GREG REIERSON

I’m the owner and chief mastering engineer at Rare Form Mastering. I’ve spent the past 39 years working in the audio industry with a full time focus on audio mastering since 1989. In that time I’ve mastered more than 10,000 commercially released albums for a diverse group of local, national and international artists.

In addition to mastering, I design, build and modify much of the gear I use in the studio. I’m a former chairman of the Audio Engineering Society (upper Midwest chapter), a voting member of NARAS (the Grammy people) and an active musician and supporter of my local creative community. I host student and professional groups at the RFM studio and give talks at local college and high school recording programs and professional audio organizations such as the Audio Engineering Society, Making Vinyl, the Audio Society of Minnesota and others.

Away from the studio I spend a lot of time on a bike where I ride with the roadies in the spring, coach mountain bike racing in the summer and fall and hit the snow on the fat bike in the winter. Life is good!
